Iconic Social realism Filmmakers



After changing our genre to Social Realism, we looked at iconic filmmakers of this genre and did some research into their work and how its made.


MIKE LEIGH

Famous for:
Wide range of emotions, films often focus on British working class.
Most of his work in film is done without an initial script, the actors improvise their characters and the scenes.

Famous for:
Naturalistic, social realist directing style
Improvisation to create a genuine communication between actors
