Costume
Costume is very important to our trailer as we wanted to reflect the characters personalities and emotions within their costume. We did this mostly through the use of colour.
James, the psychotic boyfriend is seen wearing mostly black throughout the trailer representing his dark and evil side.
Bethan, the victim of domestic violence is seen in most of the trailer wearing pink, this represents her vulnerability and innocence.

Trailer Inspiration - The Boy Next Door
The Boy Next Door is a thriller about a newly divorced woman who falls for a younger man who has recently moved in opposite her, but their love affair soon takes a dangerous turn.
We have taken inspiration from the trailer as the mise-en-scene reflects the mood we would like to portray in our trailer as well as having a few similarities with the storyline, the main example being a relationship with the mother.

Trailer Inspiration - Orange is the New Black
We have looked at Orange is the New Black as inspiration for the beginning of our trailer as the fast paced photos gives an effect we would like to use to show the victims of the abuse of our main character. We are going to take pictures of bruises on a number of girl's faces and edit them together to create an effect like the opening to Orange is the new Black.

Filming Process
Today we went to Tunbridge Wells to film some establishing shots with our actor James. We managed to get a time lapse on the high street and our opening shot of him on the train.
We are thinking of potentially using this shot for our website and/or poster as we think it is a powerful image that would look good with our theme and vision.

New logo
We have changed the logo to a more simplistic white one which will look better on a black screen than our original logo with the photo background. We created this on word.
Title options
We have discussed a range of titles for our film and we have come up with these possibilities:
- Listen
- Broken
- Obsession
- Infatuation

New Actors
After re-considering our actors prior to our first filming session we have now chosen Bethan and James. Both of these actors attend our school so it will be easy to contact them and meet up for filming. We will do test shoots with both Bethan and James to make sure that they will be able to portray the characters we want, as this was something we failed to do with the previous actors.

Filming First Try
We spent the evening at Meg's house filming the house shots we needed with our two actors. The filming actually took a lot longer than we anticipated because we had to repeatedly film the same thing over until we got the perfect take which often took around 6 or 7 times. This has made us think about casting new actors as this could be very inefficient when it comes to filming other scenes for our trailer where we need to be focused and productive.

Storyboard
We have drafted our first storyboard for our trailer, we have drawn out and annotated each scene we hope to film in order to plan out our trailer and see the whole thing together visually. We can also take this storyboard with us on filming days to reference what shots we need to film etc.

Trailer Inspiration - Broadchurch
We looked at popular TV drama Broadchurch for inspiration for our trailer. We particularly liked the understated and dramatic music and the mise-en-scene components that create the mysterious mood to the show.
The amazing cinematography in Broadchurch has motivated us to create a trailer which encompasses this same style and feel.
